Turkey reports 21,372 new coronavirus cases, 157 deaths

157 more people have died due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the disease to 52,860, Turkey’s Health Ministry said in a statement on Friday.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 6,039,857 after 21,372 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.

While at least 633 patients are in critical condition, at least 5,575,214 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

At least 71,237,758 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
