Local sources reported that Ibrahim Melhem and a number of his companions were attacked by settlers while they were on their agricultural lands in the Kafr Rai area.
The settlers chased the young men, opened fire at them, and smashed Melhem's car.
On July 19, the settlers had seized Mount Abu al-Shawareb, claiming that it was state property and that it had no owners.
The settlers were stationed on the top of the mountain between Kafr Rai, built a road that leads to it, burned the weeds in the place, set up a fence around it, and began moving their belongings from the nearby Dotan settlement.
Jewish settlers have recently increased their violations in the Occupied West Bank, such as attacking farmers and preventing them from reaching their lands, in addition to burning and cutting trees aiming to seize lands and building roads to be used only by the settlers. (ILKHA)
