Turkey’s coronavirus death toll rises to 49,524

51 more people have died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the disease to 49,524, Turkey’s Health Ministry said in a statement on Saturday.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 5,404,144, after 5,266 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.

While at least 733 patients are in critical condition, 5,269,294 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

More than 59,890,147 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
