Turkey reports 5,703 new coronavirus cases, 59 deaths

59 more people have died due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the disease to 49,417, Turkey’s Health Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 5,393,248, after 5,703 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.

While at least 752 patients are in critical condition, 5,254,708 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

More than 59,444,650 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
