The plane was flying from the capital Naypyidaw to the town of Pyin Oo Lwin, a hill town in the Mandalay region.
It was coming in to land when it crashed about 300 meters from a steel plant, killing at least 12 people.
It was not immediately clear what had caused the accident. (ILKHA)
