Turkey’s coronavirus death toll rises to 47,656

129 more people have died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the disease to 47,656, Turkey’s Health Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 5,256,516, after 7,112 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.

While at least 1,241 patients are in critical condition, 5,124,081 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

More than 54,362,791 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
