Turkey reports 197 new coronavirus deaths in the last 24 hours

197 more people have died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the disease to 46,268, Turkey’s Health Ministry said in a statement on Sunday.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 5,186,487, after 7,839 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.

While at least 1,843 patients are in critical condition, 5,024,313 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

52,377,678 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
