Turkey reports 10,512 new coronavirus cases, 223 deaths

223 more people have died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the disease to 44,760, Turkey’s Health Ministry said in a statement on Sunday.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 5,117,374, after 10,512 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.

While at least 2,468 patients are in critical condition, 4,947,256 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

More than 50,869,896 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
