Turkey reports 283 new coronavirus deaths in the last 24 hours

283 more people have died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the disease to 43,029, Turkey’s Health Ministry said in a statement on Sunday.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 5,031,332, after 15,191 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.

While at least 3,081 patients are in critical condition, 4,716,918 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

49,390,141 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
