Cengiz Aydın, the spokesman of the Marmara Coordination Office of the Prophet’s Lovers Foundation, read the message on behalf of the foundation.
Aydın began to read the message with words praising Allah and sending blessings upon the Prophet Muhammed (PBUH).
Aydın went on to recite a verse from the Holy Quran that says:” O you who believe, the fasts have been enjoined upon you as they were enjoined upon those before you, so that you may be God-fearing.” (Surah Al-Baqarah, 183)
Emphasizing that this month of Ramadan, which coincides with the coronavirus pandemic, should be spent in the best way as a family with prayers, dhikr, and recitation of the Qur'an, Aydın said: “We are happy to regain Ramadan Sharif that Beginning of it is Mercy, the middle of it is forgiveness and the end of it is freedom from the Fire. Described as the sultan of 11 months, Ramadan is a spiritual month full of blessings such as sahur, iftar, tarawih, recitation of Qur’an, almsgiving, loyalty, patience, and sharing as well as the ‘Night of Power’ which is better than a thousand months.”
"We should devote more time with our family to recite the Qur'an, to ask Allah the Almighty to forgive our mistakes and accept our good, to pray”
Underlining that every Muslim should benefit in the best way from the spiritual climate in which the gates of Heaven are opened, the gates of hell are closed and the devils are shackled, Aydın continued: “The month of Ramadan is mercy, blessing, sharing, observing the care of kin, nurturing the soul and forgiveness. Our Prophet (PBUH) said about this blessed month, ‘Whoever fasts a day in the Cause of Allah, Allah makes between him and the Hell-fire a trench as wide as is the space between the heaven and the earth.’ In this month, we must rest our bodies with fasting and have the peace of mind to feed our souls with the food of worship. We should know the value of the month of Ramadan, and we should see a great blessing to make this blessed month tangible and spiritual good and turn more towards our Lord. We should devote more time with our family to recite the Qur'an, to ask Allah the Almighty to forgive our mistakes and accept our good, to pray.”
“Societies that are far from spending simply to please Allah without asking for any favor or hoping for a return and solidarity cannot reach prosperity and civilization"
Aydın concluded as follows: “Zakat, almsgiving, spending simply to please Allah, which are the marks of Islam, are financial worships that form the economic foundations of Islamic Civilization. In the holy month of Ramadan, just as all kinds of worships must be performed with great importance, financial worships must be performed as well. Societies that are far from spending simply to please Allah without asking for any favor or hoping for a return and solidarity cannot reach prosperity and civilization.” (ILKHA)
