Noting that the 45th anniversary of Palestinian Land Day comes amid a fierce war launched by the zionist occupation against the Palestinian land in the West Bank and Jerusalem, seeking to “annex” it or establish new illegal settlements, HAMAS underlined that the Palestinians, however, continue their freedom struggle against the occupation.

“From the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948 to the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, the road map to the liberation of Palestine is being drawn up, in which the spirit of heroism and the value of freedom and sacrifice are embodied, raising the awareness of the Palestinians who revolted against the Israeli occupation despite suppression, oppression, racial discrimination, land grab, and home demolition. It also confirms that the Palestinian people will remain committed to their homeland and willing to make scarifies for the sake of it at any cost.”

Pointing out that the zionist occupation, meanwhile, is vainly attempting to uproot the Palestinian people from their land or undermining their commitment to it, HAMAS continued as follows: “All attempts to liquidate the Palestinian rights, either by directly targeting them, falsifying documents, falsely claiming ownership of Palestinian properties or land, or even by being emboldened by some regimes that normalized ties with the Israeli occupation and stabbed the Palestinian people in the back are doomed to failure. In light of this, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas states the following:

First: Hamas salutes the Palestinian citizens of the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, Jerusalem, and the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948, as well as in the diaspora, and praises their enormous sacrifices for the sake of remaining committed to their rights, preserving their identity and land, and resisting liquidation attempts and all forms of normalization.

Second: Hamas hails the position of the Palestinian people who insist on moving towards healing all divisions, achieving unity, sharing their joint fate, and against external guardianship and resettlement.

Third: The anniversary of the Land Day will remain a point of consensus among all Palestinian factions and a significant milestone to achieve a true reconciliation on the basis of committing to the Palestinian rights and refusing to renounce any inch of the Palestinian land and to collaborate or coordination with the Israeli occupation at any cost.

We call for the Arab and Muslim world to consider Palestine as their central cause for the sake of which they should overcome all of their disagreements and partisan interests as the issue of Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem have united the Ummah through history after decades of disagreements and conflicts.

We reiterate our absolute rejection to any form of normalization or rapprochement with the Israeli occupation.” (ILKHA)
