Agriculture-PPI (2015=100) on the previous month increased by 2.61%, on December of the previous year increased by 5.72%, on the same month of the previous year increased by 21.32%, and on the twelve months moving averages basis increased by 16.67% in February 2021, according to the statement.
Compared to the previous month in sectors; fishing products and other fishing products increased by 2.47%, forestry products, and related services increased by 2.55%, and products of agriculture, hunting, and related services increased by 2.62%. Regarding monthly changes by main groups; non-perennial crops decreased by 0.16%, live animals and animal products increased by 2.75%, and perennial crops increased by 7.37%.
The highest annual increase was 37.64% in the citrus fruits subgroup
In February 2021, cereals (except rice), leguminous crops, and oilseeds with 29.86% and fiber plants with 29.80% were the subgroups where high increases realized. Other tree and bush fruits and nuts with 1.11%, vegetables and melons, roots and tubers with 5.08% and oleaginous fruits with 14.55% were the subgroups that indicated a low annual increase.
The highest monthly increase was 8.08% in the citrus fruits subgroup
In February 2021, other tree and bush fruits and nuts with 3.81% and dairy cattle, live and raw milk from dairy cattle with 3.42% was the subgroups where high increases realized. On the other hand, rice (in hulk) with 2.23% and vegetables and melons, roots and tubers with 1.76% were the subgroups where monthly decrease realized. Other farmed animals and animal products with 0.75% and fiber plants with 1.10% were the subgroups that indicated the lowest monthly increases.
In February 2021 within average prices of 86 items in the index; the average prices of 22 items decreased and the average prices of 3 items remained unchanged while the average prices of 61 items increased. (ILKHA)
