Turkey reports 62 new coronavirus deaths in the last 24 hours

62 more people have died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the disease to 28,901, Turkey’s Health Ministry said in a statement on Friday.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 2,757,460, after 11,302 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.

While at least 1,232 patients are in critical condition, 2,608,848 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

33,854,960 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
