Turkey’s coronavirus death toll rises to 26,998

98 more people have died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the disease to 26,998, Turkey’s Health Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 2,548,195, after 8,636 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.

While at least 1,310 patients are in critical condition, 2,437,382 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

More than 30,893,496 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
