Turkey’s coronavirus death toll rises to 24,640

153 more people have died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the disease to 24,640, Turkey’s Health Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 2,412,505, after 6,289 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.

While at least 2,074 patients are in critical condition, 2,290,032 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

28,032,559 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
