Turkey’s coronavirus death toll rises to 23,997

165 more people have died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the disease to 23,997, Turkey’s Health Ministry said in a statement on Sunday.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 2,387,101, after 6,436 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.

While at least 2,201 patients are in critical condition, 2,262,864 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

27,372,081 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
