Turkey reports 173 new coronavirus deaths in the last 24 hours

173 more people have died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the disease to 23,325, Turkey’s Health Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 2,355,839, after 9,554 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.

While at least 2,652 patients are in critical condition, 2,227,927 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

26,729,595 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
