Turkey’s coronavirus death toll rises to 17,851

Turkey has reported 241 new deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the virus to 17,851, the country’s Health Ministry said in a statement on Saturday.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 2,004,285, after 22, 195 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.

While at least 5,501 patients are in critical condition, 1,779,068 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

22,280,635 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
