Turkey reports 29,617 daily confirmed cases of COVID-19

Turkey has reported 229 new deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the virus to 16,646, the country’s Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said in a statement on Monday.

According to the statement, 29,617 more people were tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of confirmed cases to 1,866,345.

While at least 5,980 patients are in critical condition, 1,631,944 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

21,284,005 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
