Turkey’s coronavirus death toll reaches 16,417

Turkey has reported 218 new deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the virus to 16,417, the country’s Health Ministry said in a statement on Sunday.

According to the statement, 26,919 more people were tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of confirmed cases to 1,836,728.

While at least 5,973 patients are in critical condition, 1,603,780 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

21,079,716 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
