The Movement said in a statement, “We express our condemnation, anger and indignation at this disgraceful and insulting normalization.”
“Our heroic Palestinian people, along with all the peoples of the Arab and Islamic nations and the free people of the world, received the news of the Sudanese government's approval of the normalization of relations with the zionist enemy with great shock and condemnation”, Hamas added.
It called on the Sudanese people to reject this disgraceful agreement which will not bring stability or welfare to Sudan as is claimed. Rather, it will take Sudan towards more troubles and will lead to more the zionist regime’s domination of the nation’s peoples and potentials.
Hamas concluded its statement by greeting the people of Sudan and their great sacrifices for Palestine.
Meanwhile, Mustafa Abu Ara, a HAMAS leader, argued that normalization with the Zionist occupation regime will not benefit the Islamic peoples. This normalization will only serve the interests of the zionist regime, stabilize its hegemony and legitimize its presence, he added.
Abu Ara denounced the declaration of normalization between Sudan and the occupation, adding that there are no benefits for the Arab and Islamic peoples in this normalization. This normalization only serves the interests of the occupation by establishing its presence and giving it legitimacy for occupying Palestine.
He continued: “We rely now on the Arab peoples that do not agree to live under such regimes that are humiliating, dishonorable and betrayal of the Palestinian cause.”
On Friday evening, Sudan and the zionist occupation regime agreed to normalize relations in conjunction with the announcement that US President Donald Trump had signed a decree removing Sudan from the list of countries that sponsor terrorism.
The United States mediated between the two parties. This makes Sudan the fifth Arab country to normalize with the zionist regime and the third Arab country to normalize with it within two months. (ILKHA)
