The number of confirmed cases has been 1,046,641, an increase of 16,973 cases in the past 24 hours.
While 1,930 patients are being treated in intensive care units, at least 15,503,165 tests have so far been conducted to detect coronavirus cases in the country.

The actual number of cases, however, is likely to be much higher, as many people with only mild or no symptoms are unlikely to have been tested.
