France reports more than 25,000 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours

France’s death toll from the virus reached 33,303, according to the ministry.

So far, 834,770 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in the country. Of those, 104,696 patients have been discharged from hospital after being cured.

According to a team of French epidemiologists, under 5% of the total population of France, or around 2.8 million people, may have been infected with COVID-19.

This was believed to have been nearly twice as high in the Ile-de-France and Alsace. (ILKHA)
