Turkey reports 59 new deaths due to coronavirus pandemic

Turkey has reported 59 new deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the virus to 8,837, the country’s Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said in a statement on Sunday.

According to the statement, the number of patients reached 335,533, an increase of 1,502 patients over the past 24 hours.

While at least 1,411 patients are in critical condition, 294,357 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

11,615,715 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
