Turkey reports 55 new deaths from COVID-19

Turkey has reported 55 new deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the virus to 8,553, the country’s Health Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

According to the statement, the number of patients rose to 327,557, an increase of 1,511 patients over the past 24 hours.

While at least 1,414 patients are in critical condition, 287,599 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

10,931,917 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
