Bilateral relations and regional developments were addressed during the reception at Vahdettin Mansion.
Erdoğan said during the reception that Turkey would continue to stand in full solidarity with Libya and underlined Turkey’s efforts to reinforce relations with the Government of National Accord of Libya, which is Libya’s sole legitimate representative.
Referring to the registration by the United Nations of the Memorandum of Understanding on Delimitation of Maritime Jurisdiction Areas between Turkey and Libya as a pleasing development, Erdoğan said Turkey would continue to provide all kinds of support for the stability of Libya and the prosperity of the Libyan people.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Treasury and Finance Berat Albayrak, Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu, Minister of National Defence Hulusi Akar, Head of National Intelligence Organization Hakan Fidan, Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun, Presidential Spokesperson İbrahim Kalın, AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik and Chief Advisor to the President Sefer Turan were also present at the reception.
The Libyan delegation included Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohamed Taher Siyala, Minister of Planning Taher Al-Jahimi, Minister of Interior Fathi Bashagha, Minister of Defence Salah Al-Namroush, Minister of Finance Faraj Boumtari and National Security Advisor Taj Al-Din Al-Rezagi. (ILKHA)
