Coronavirus: Turkey reports 73 new deaths over the last 24 hours

Turkey has reported 73 new deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the virus to 7,858, the country’s Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said in a statement on Friday.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 311,455, after 1,665 more people tested positive for the virus over the past 24 hours.

While at least 1,601 patients are in critical condition, 273,282 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

9,834,572 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
