During the phone call, the developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and the relations between Turkey and NATO were discussed, according to the Turkey’s presidency.

“Spoke with President @RTErdogan about the situation in the #EastMed and the ongoing efforts for military de-confliction to avoid incidents & accidents. Both Turkey & Greece are valued Allies and NATO is a platform for dialogue,” Stoltenberg tweeted.

In NATO-brokered talks at the organization’s headquarters in Brussels, the military delegations of Greece and Turkey have been discussing the ways to reduce the risk of an incident amid rising tensions in the eastern Mediterranean.
