“We are saddened to receive the news that the flood disaster occurred due to the heavy rainfalls in the whole Niger caused many loss of lives and extensive damage. We share the grief of the friendly and brotherly Nigerien people, the statement said.
“We wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives in the disaster, extend our sincere condolences to their relatives and to the Government of Niger,” the statement added.
According to the latest figures from the government in Niger, at least 65 people have died as a result of flooding in the country which began in July this year.
A total of 329,958 people have been affected, over 31,960 houses severely damage or destroyed, along with 5,768 hectares of farmland in the western Africa’s country. (ILKHA)
