Coronavirus: Turkey reports 53 new deaths, 1,578 cases in the last 24 hours

Turkey has reported 53 new deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the virus to 6,673.

According to the country’s Health Minister, the number of confirmed cases rose to 279,806, after 1,578 more people tested positive for the virus over the past 24 hours.

While 1,102 patients are in critical condition, 251,105 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

7,779,539 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
