Turkey’s daily death toll from coronavirus rises to 56

56 more people have died from coronavirus in the past 24 hours in Turkey, bringing the country’s death toll from the virus to 6,620, the Health Ministry said in a statement on Saturday.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 278,228, after 1,673 more people tested positive for the virus over the past 24 hours.

While 1,091 patients are in critical condition, 250,092 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

7,682,697 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
