Turkey’s death toll from coronavirus pandemic rises to 5,974

Turkey has reported 19 new deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the virus to 5,974.

In a statement posted on his Twitter account, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca shared the latest official coronavirus figures in the country on Sunday.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 249,309, after 1,192 more people tested positive for the virus over the past 24 hours.

While 679 patients are in critical condition, 230,369 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.

5,725,242 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
