Criticizing the Saudi-led coalition aggression in Yemen, Sağlam said: "24 civilians lost their lives in Saudi-led coalition's airstrikes in the Al Hazm district of Yemen's Al Jawf province. Despite calls for a comprehensive ceasefire in all regions of the country, the attacks targeting civilians are continuing. The ongoing-armed conflict is threating the lives of civilians in Yemen where millions of people lack clean drinking water and food. At the same time, airstrikes and armed conflict are hampering humanitarian aids and medical assistance."

Drawing attention to humanitarian plight in Yemen, Sağlam warned that aid programs had almost come to a close due to the lack of funds needed for the country.

Sağlam went on to say: "However, the members of Saudi-led coalition, which exert their power to deepen the chaos in the country, are continuing their attacks. In order to end the humanitarian drama in Yemen, the warring parties must abide by the ceasefire calls, transfer of humanitarian aid to all civilian areas immediately and move the problem of Yemen, which cannot be solved by military means, to the negotiating table. Otherwise, the civilians who survive the armed conflict will continue to die because of hunger, thirst and epidemics."

"Malaysia's stand against zionist occupation regime should be taken as an example"

Pointing to the Malaysia's honorable stand against zionist occupation regime, Sağlam stated: "Last week, the head of Malaysia-Palestine Parliamentary Friendship Groups, Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh, urged the Malaysian government to call for the expulsion of the zionist occupation regime from UN, and proposed a special session to be held in Parliament to negotiate the West Bank annexation plan and the so-called Middle East peace plan."

Sağlam said: "The Parliament of Malaysia unanimously on submitting a notice for emergency motion to urge the government to work with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in demanding the expulsion of Israel from the United Nations. The occupation regime, which has so far failed to comply with any UN resolution and trampled on the dignity of the UN and other international organizations, should be forced to comply with the UN resolutions."

"This honorable step and initiative taken by the Malaysian Parliament against the zionist occupation regime is valuable. Malaysia's stand against zionist occupation regime should be taken as an example by Islamic countries. All Islamic countries, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and international community, which stands with humanity, should take steps to force the UN to act urgently to end the occupation and persecution in Palestine," Sağlam concluded.
