In a statement posted on his Twitter account, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca shared the latest official coronavirus figures in the country on Friday.
According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 217,799, after 926 more people tested positive for the virus over the past 24 hours.
199,834 people have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.
While 1,226 patients are in critical condition, there are some 402 patients who are mechanically ventilated.
4,191,124 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
