The coronavirus outbreak, which was first identified in Wuhan, China and declared a pandemic by World Health Organization on March 11, is continuing to claim the lives of thousands of people across the world.

The number of deaths from coronavirus outbreak is rising. While measures against the pandemic, which the countries of the world are desperate for, are being strictly implemented, the disease is severely affecting the world economy. As a result, some countries have begun to ease the measures in an effort to recover their economies.

The United States, the current epicenter of the pandemic, has the highest number of confirmed cases of coronavirus with 1,816,897 cases, followed by Brazil with 499,966 cases, Russia with 405,843 cases, Spain with 286,308 cases, the United Kingdom with 272,826 cases, Italy with 232,664 cases, France with 188,625 cases, Germany with 183,294 cases, India 182,490 cases, Turkey with 163,103 cases, Peru with 155,671 cases, Iran with 148,950 cases and Chile with 94,858 cases.

A total of 2,744,044 patients have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital worldwide. (ILKHA)
