More than 89,000 patients recover from coronavirus in Iran

The number of deaths from coronavirus pandemic has risen to 6,783 after 50 new deaths were reported, Iran’s Health Ministry Spokesman Kianoush Jahanpour announced on Wednesday.

1,958 new cases were confirmed with coronavirus, taking the number of confirmed cases to 112,725 in the country, according to Kianoush Jahanpour.

2,735 patients are in critical condition and of those suffering from the disease, 89,428 patients have gained recovery.

So far, 629,534 tests have been taken across the country to detect infected cases.

According to Worldometer, which is a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, the global death toll from coronavirus has surpassed 294,498 with 4,376,924 cases and more than 1,623,205 recoveries. (ILKHA)
