Death toll from coronavirus reaches 31,855 in United Kingdom

At least 269 people have died from coronavirus in the past 24 hours, rising the United Kingdom death toll from the virus to 31,855, according to the country’s Department of Health and Social Care.

“As of 9am 10 May, there have been 1,821,280 tests, with 92,837 tests on 09 May. 1,334,770 people have been tested of which 219,183 tested positive. As of 5pm on 09 May, of those tested positive for coronavirus, across all settings, 31,855 have sadly died.,” the Department tweeted on Sunday.

There are 1,559 patients who are being treated at intensive care units at the moment.

According to Worldometer, a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, coronavirus pandemic has so far claimed the lives of at least 282,388 people across the world. (ILKHA)
