The organization, which acts with the mission of delivering the humanitarian aid to those who are persecuted or otherwise in need, regardless of their religion, language, race or sect, has not forgotten about the orphans in this month of Ramadan.
Speaking to Ilke News Agency about the charitable works that they conduct on the occasion of the 15th day of Ramadan month, which is marked as World Orphans Day in Islamic World, Fatih Akman, the head of the Hope Caravan’s Mardin Branch, said : “ As you know, the 15th day of Ramadan month in Islamic World is marked as World Orphans Day. It is necessary not only to help orphans on a designated day, but to stand with them at all times where they need to be, to meet their needs and to produce serious projects to ensure that they can stand on their feet. We, as the Hope Caravan, went into work for orphans in Mardin. We have provided food, meat and festive candy to nearly 50 orphaned children.”
“If the orphans are happy, we'll be happy. If we do the orphan’s heart good, we will rejoice. Our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) urged repeatedly Muslims to protect the orphan. We visit orphans in their homes to make them feel that we are with them, to show that they are not alone. We make them brothers and sisters. We provide financial and moral support. Thanks to the donations made by the philanthropists in Mardin, we can support orphaned children. I would like to thank the benefactors who have helped us to conduct these charitable works. May Allah be pleased with them,” Akman added. (ILKHA)
