UK PM Boris Johnson: Doctors had prepared to declare my death

Johnson, who contracted coronavirus and was being treated in the intensive care unit for three nights, said doctors were preparing to announce his death at some stage.

“I was not in particularly brilliant shape and I was aware there were contingency plans in place,” Johnson said.

Johnson said that he was in denial about how serious it was after he was diagnosed with COVID-19 at the end of March, and did not want to go to the hospital.

He added he thought he would die in later stages, and he felt lucky, given so many others were still suffering. (ILKHA)
