Death toll from coronavirus rises to 3,336 in Turkey

78 people have died from coronavirus pandemic in the last 24 hours in Turkey, rising the country’s death toll from the virus to 3,336, announced Fahrettin Koca, Turkish Health Minister, on his Twitter account on Saturday.

Turkey has so far reported 124,375 confirmed coronavirus cases, an increase of 1,983 cases in the last 24 hours.

1,445 patients are being treated in intensive care unit. Of those, 778 people are mechanically ventilated patients.

58,259 patients have fully recovered from the infection and been discharged from hospital.

A total of 1,111,366 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted in the country. (ILKHA)
