80 coronavirus patients lost their lives in the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 5,957 in the country.
1,073 new cases were confirmed with coronavirus, taking the number of confirmed cases to 93,657 in the country, according to Kianoush Jahanpour.
Some 2,965 patients are being treated in intensive care units at the moment.
Until now, 73,791 patients suffering from the novel coronavirus have recovered and been discharged from hospitals, Jahanpour added.
So far, 453,386 tests have been taken across the country to detect infected cases. (ILKHA)
