Turkey’s death toll from coronavirus rises to 2,706

106 people have died from coronavirus pandemic in the last 24 hours in Turkey, rising the country’s death toll from the virus to 2,706, said Fahrettin Koca, Turkish Health Minister, on his Twitter account on Saturday.

Turkey has so far reported 107,773 confirmed coronavirus cases, an increase of 2,861 cases in the last 24 hours.

1,782 patients are being treated in intensive care unit. Of those, 900 people are mechanically ventilated patients.

25,582 patients have fully recovered from the infection and been discharged from hospital.

A total of 868,565 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted in the country. (ILKHA)
