The number of deaths from coronavirus in Iraq rises to 66, Health Ministry says

Iraq has reported 3 new deaths from coronavirus in the past 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the virus to 86.

So far, 1,708 cases were confirmed with coronavirus in the country, an increase of 31 cases in the last 24 hours.

204 patients suffering from the pandemic have recovered and been discharged from hospital.

There are 418 patients currently being treated in hospital.

Iraq is considered especially vulnerable to the epidemic due to being ravaged - by war and U.N. sanctions. (ILKHA)
