Turkey: 109 people die from coronavirus in the past 24 hours

109 more people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in Turkey, rising the country’s death toll from the virus to 2,600, said Fahrettin Koca, Turkish Health Minister, on his Twitter account on Friday.

Turkey has so far reported 104,912 confirmed coronavirus cases, an increase of 3,122 in the last 24 hours.

1,790 patients are being treated in intensive care unit. Of those, 929 people are mechanically ventilated patients.

21,737 patients have fully recovered from the infection and been discharged from hospital.

A total of 830,257 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted in the country. (ILKHA)
