Turkey’s death toll from coronavirus reaches 2,491, Health Minister says

115 more people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in Turkey, rising the country’s death toll from the virus to 2,491, said Fahrettin Koca, Turkish Health Minister, on his Twitter account on Thursday.

Turkey has so far reported 101,790 confirmed coronavirus cases, an increase of 3,116 in the last 24 hours.

1,816 patients are being treated in intensive care unit. Of those, 985 people are mechanically ventilated patients.

18,491 patients have fully recovered from the infection and been discharged from hospital.

A total of 791,906 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted in the country. (ILKHA)
