Turkey’s death toll from coronavirus reaches 1,296

98 people have died from coronavirus in the past 24 hours in Turkey, increasing the country’s death toll from the virus to 1,296, Turkey’s Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced on Monday.

A total of 61,049 cases have been reported, an increase of 4,093 new cases in the last 24 hours.

786 patients are being treated at the intensive care units. Of those, 1,063 people are mechanically ventilated patients.

3,957 patients have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospital.

A total of 410,556 tests have so far been conducted for coronavirus in the country, including 34,456 tests in the past 24 hours. (ILKHA)
