Turkey’s death toll from coronavirus rises to 1,101, Health Ministry says

95 people have died from coronavirus in the past 24 hours in Turkey, increasing the country’s death toll from the virus to 1,101, tweeted the Turkey’s Health Minister Fahrettin Koca on Saturday.

A total of 52,167 cases have been reported, an increase of 5,138 new cases in the last 24 hours.

1,626 patients are being treated at the intensive care units. Of those, 1,021 people are mechanically ventilated patients.

2,965 patients have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospital.

A total of 340,380 tests have so far been conducted for coronavirus in the country, including 33,170 tests in the past 24 hours. (ILKHA)
