The proportion of individuals who mentioned that they were unhappy was 12.1% in 2018 and 13.1% in 2019.

 Females were happier

 While the proportion of males who mentioned that they were happy was 49.6% in 2018, it was 47.6% in 2019. The proportion of happiness for females was 57.0% in 2019 by remaining as it was in 2018.

 Married ones were happier than unmarried

It was seen that married individuals were happier than unmarried individuals. While the proportion of married individuals who mentioned that they were happy was 55.6%, this proportion was 45.1% for unmarried ones in 2019. When the level of happiness of married individuals was analyzed by sex, it was seen that 50.6% of married males and 60.2% of married females were happy.

 The happiest ones were in the age group of 65 and over

When the level of happiness was analyzed by age groups, the highest level of happiness was at 65 and over age group with 61.2% in 2018 and 58.5% in 2019. The lowest level of happiness was seen at 45-54 age group with 47.8% in 2018 and it was seen at 55-64 age group with 48.7% in 2019.

 Individuals who didn't complete school were happier

 When the level of happiness was analyzed by level of education, it was seen that the highest level of happiness was seen at individuals who did not complete school with 55.4% in 2019. It was followed by individuals who were higher education graduates with 52.7%, primary education or junior high school gradutes with 52.3%, primary school graduates with 51.8%, high school and equivalent graduates with 50.8%, respectively.

Families were the source of happiness of individuals

When the persons as source of happiness were analyzed in 2019; while the proportion of individuals who mentioned that their families made them happiest was 74.1%, it was followed by children with 12.8%, themselves with 3.8%, spouse with 3.7%, parents with 2.5% and grandchildren with 1.6%, respectively.

 Being healthy made individuals happiest

When the values as source of happiness were analyzed in 2019; while the proportion of individuals who mentioned that their health made them happiest was 69.9%, it was followed by love with 14.3%, success with 9.2%, money with 4.2% and job with 2.1%, respectively.

 The highest level of satisfaction was in public security services with 75.5%

 When the level of satisfaction from public services was analyzed in 2019; while the proportion of ones who stated that they were satisfied from the public security services was 75.5%, it was followed by satisfaction levels from transportation services with 72.2%, health services with 67.1%, services of Social Security Institution with 61.1%, education services with 54.8% and judicial services with 53.5%, respectively.

 7 out of every 10 people were hopeful about their own future

The proportion of individuals who mentioned that they were hopeful about their own future was 70.0% in 2019. While the proportion of males who were hopeful about their own future was 69.0%, this proportion for females was 70.8%. (ILKHA)
