Çavuşoğlu to pay a visit to Iraq

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu will pay a visit to Iraq amid rising tensions between Iran and the U.S., the Ministry announced in a statement on Wednesday.

The statement said: "Within the context of our intensified diplomatic efforts to alleviate the escalated tension in the aftermath of recent developments in the region, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs will pay a visit to Iraq on 9 January 2020."

"Recent developments in the region as well as bilateral issues are expected to be discussed during the visit," it added. (ILKHA)
