Mayor of Sur district municipality Buluttekin had been removed from her post after she was taken in custody on the ground of a terrorism investigation in Diyarbakır.

District Governor Abdullah Çiftçi was appointed as a trustee to Sur Municipality to replace People's Democratic Party (HDP) Sur Mayor Filiz Buluttekin. (ILKHA)
